A limited budget is available from the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to partially cover, with a fixed amount to determine, the travel expenses of presenting authors from Developing Countries that most need financial support for attending ICPIG 2017.
This financial support is granted through sponsorship of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP).
Priority will be given to young researchers: MSc and PhD students with age 35 and below.
Applicants requesting financial support from the LOC must fill and sign the application form available here, joining also a copy of the contribution submitted. In the case of students, the application must be sustained by a recommendation letter from the applicant’s supervisor.
The documents must be sent by email before March 3 2017, to the Conference Secretariat Support (Anabela Gonçalves, pcanabela@tecnico.ulisboa.pt), with subject ICPIG2017 – LOC Financial Support.
Since the total amount of grants available is small as compared to the expected needs, a balance of nationalities, participant’s gender and conference topics will be respected.
The result of the selection will be made known to the applicants by April 17, 2017.
